Minister for ‘Entrepreneur Development’ Bags RM100million In Government Contracts!

Bumiputera Entrepreneurship? You bet - the No 1 entrepreneur is him!
First we exposed his massive timber concessions and enormous oil palm plantations, now we can detail how Assistant Minister for Entrepreneur Development, Naroden Majais, has received RM100million in government contracts for his construction company!
Readers alerted us to the graft, pointing out that the official website of the Construction Industry Development Board (CIDB) has posted details of a series of enormous contracts awarded to the company Embun Pelangi Sdn Bhd, of whom two of the Directors are Naroden’s wife, Massenah Binti Ahmad and son Kamaruzaman Bin Naroden.
Of course, no serving Minister should be receiving any government contracts, let alone RM100million of undeclared construction projects.

In fact, further research has shown that while the Simunjan Assemblyman is happy to have his family pose as directors, it is he who is the main family shareholder! With his son he commands 50% of the profits of the company that has received a staggering array of public construction contracts!

The other shareholder would appear to be a qualified engineer, but what qualifications do Naroden and his son Kamaruzaman have to be receiving such huge contracts?
One suspects that this civil servant turned politician is no more qualified to take on mega construction contracts than he is to receive the vast timber and plantation concessions that are in his name. He could certainly have never legitimately earned the resources to purchase them.

Indeed the activities of the Naroden Majais bring a new understanding to the meaning of his boss Taib Mahmud’s enthusiasm for encouraging ‘entrepreneurship’ in Sarawak.
Mr Majais may be the Minister for Developing Entrepreneurship, but his main efforts seem to be targeted towards abusing his political influence in order to gain opportunities for himself! Below is the lengthy official list of the contracts which have been handed to this grand scale ‘political entrepreneur’:

One might say he is leading by example in his role as the promoter of ‘entrepreneurship’. However, of course, entrepreneurs are generally encouraged because they are wealth creators, not corrupted politicians who are putting projects into their own pockets!
Taib Mahmud’s form of political entrepreneurship has over the past 30 years and more sucked Sarawak dry of its wealth, as he and his side-kicks have remorselessly taken all there is to take and then handed themselves all the public money through contracts as well.

After getting a Contract,he will sell them to the Foochow Chinese taukey so that they can clean their money. So all he gets is 2-3% of the contract sum. When can the MALAYS Bumiputra ever learn..Lembu punya susu,sapi punya nama.There are a lot of companies using BUMIPUTRA as a lobby front to get Federal Government contract…endless names..
It is extremely easy and fast to do online searches of all companies which are the beneficiaries of large government contracts/ awards/ licences/ permits, to see if they are owned or controlled by ministers/ people in a position to abuse their powers, or their relatives. Each search is only RM10 and I for one would gladly contribute towards a fund to achieve greater transparency of government contracts. It's time the Rakyat took on matters such as this, until the government embraces good management practices on public declaration of assets.
(And I say this not as a BN basher, as transparency would benefit Malaysia whichever party is in power.)

SACOFA is a State GLC, funded with hundred of millions of loan guaranteed by Sarawak Government , to build telecom towers in Sarawak. Commercially it is not a viable project. But the real money and profit is in the tower projects awarded by Sacofa to cronies. Sacofa should publish the contractors that had been awarded, Wont be surprised to see NAim also there…..

Government contracts, timber concessions, stitched from behind deals, back-door entry, closed-door negotiations, allegiance buying, and hey pronto "You are now a millionaire, a new recruit of the army". People, we have to keep exposing the culprits otherwise you are less able to know which devil did what and receive what and to what extent is their ill-gotten gains. In this situation, follow where the politicians' money come from and where they go. It's an old tracking practice.

Seriously there is no contender for the top leadership for Sarawak. Like it or not the reality is that both sides of the coin Sarawak is screwed, locally by the crook CM and his cronies and the other by Big Brother of Federal, except the latter it might be a point of no return. You need a true Sarawakian to fight your corner and it looks like none for now and even for the foreseeable future. You are really stumped. Groom one before it is too late but with the existing mindset I am not too sure. Any suggestions?

RM400 million a day of black money disappeared from Malaysia! Based on the reported RM150 billion/year that vanished. According to the Washington-based financial watchdog Global Financial Integrity (GFI), in 2009 alone RM 150 billion (US$47 billion) in illicit money was illegally siphoned out of Malaysia. The latest GFI report, by economists Sarah Freitas and Dev Kar, who is a former senior economist at the International Monetary Fund, stressed that these illicit outflows are basically illicit transfers of the proceeds of bribery, theft, kickbacks and tax evasion." In other words, it refers to corruption money or black money that is obtained illegally…… ENOUGH OF TAIB, ENOUGH OF UMNO, NOT ANOTHER DAY!

Even foreigners watching have enough of these crimes. A registered letter, which we sent in December 2011 and was signed by 15 NGOs from eight countries calling on Malaysia’s authorities to arrest Taib and 13 family members, has been left unanswered. Has the PM got any trace of moral, dignity and sense of shame left? Watching from NZ, rated top for democracy, and transparency, this is despicable, this is a disgrace to the whole Country Malaysia. Why are Sarawakians & Malaysian tolerating this rot & stench? Nothing will be done, unless Arab Spring type pressures are mounted beginning with:
Blockade of all logging & oil palm accesses.
Blockade of all CMS & related companies’ access & movements.
Work stoppage. Sit-ins in offices, transport hubs & airports.
Everyone has enough! If Sarawakians are so cowardly, then let’s cut a long strong short. Let’s call the darkest and most deadly curse on the these criminials, including cronies and supporters of evil. Shame on them, curse and retribution be on them soonest.
