Boycott

The PAS backed move to urge Malay Malaysians not to buy or otherwise support goods or services produced or operated by non-Muslims is not just foolish and narrow-minded.

To suggest economic warfare against one section of the nation by another is both illegal and a deliberate attack on national unity. While it can be recognised that much of the country’s economic activity and means of industrial production are in the hands of Malaysians who are not of ethnic Malay stock that is a fact of life; just as the sun rising in the morning and setting in the evening. Anyone who finds that situation unsatisfactory should be using any political influence they may have to try to alter it by legal means; not by communally inspired boycott action.

Despite their narrow policies PAS do not have the political clout to alter this social situation which is presumably why they are publicly advocating tactics that are bound to lead to inter communal problems; as its leadership are well aware. They seem to not care  that their political ideas and actions are harmful to peace and unity and can only lead to economic and political failure.
