It's Not What Is Secret

It is reliably reported that BN do not in fact intend to keep their election manifesto secret after all, stated a source close to the party’s management. ‘We will publish our manifesto in due course” the source reported party bosses as saying.

In response to futher enquiries the party management explained that they had been having difficulties internally over the basis on which gains from the misuse of public assets, such as timber, should be divided in future.

There had been considerable discontent in the past, the source explained,  over how much top bosses like Taib and Adenan had creamed off while leaving lower down crooks with what they felt was less than their fair share.

Now that Taib was no longer in direct control over these lucrative matters BN executives wanted more for themelves and had threatened not to co-operate over the manfesto and electoral campaigh unless an agreement more favourable to them could be reached.

This had, naturally, caused problems as neither of the two top bosses were agreeable to any change. Indeed to the contrary they wanted to keep even more to themselvs and their families; and what they want they are accustomed to getting.  However elections are a “little local difficulty” as they provide the only opportunity in each five year period for party rank ad file to bargain over shares in the loot.

It appears that these disputes may now have been settled and the voters can look forward to reading the usual anodyne pack of lies before deciding whether to accept the usual electoral bribes. These, as previously reported, may be bigger this time since the fall of mega thief Najib, overall BN boss, has got some voters wondering about how much the State BN bosses  have also been stealing.
