Stirring Hatred

Hardly a day passes without someone from either UMNO or PAS beating the drum and claiming that their parties have some sort of divine right to rule secular Malaysia.

These personalities have to come to understand that national policy and national development cannot be made exclusively in  Mosques or by Islamic personalities. Religion is a personal matter and certainly ought not to be a factor in political life.

Attention should be concentrated on the progress of multi faith countries rather than those ruled entirely by religious beliefs  such as Saudi Arabia.

Malaysia can only have the bright future that all Malaysians wish to see if tolerance and common sense infuse politics and political life. Anyone who thinks to the contrary must be seen as wishing for a an unfair and discriminatory society which will result in perpetual conflict and misery.
