The Prime Minister is widely reported as saying that it will be difficult for PH to repeat its electoral victory at the next General Election. Admittedly that is still a long way off and it is difficult to predict the outcome at this point. But one thing is certain and that is if PH give up before the event they certainly will lose.

Consider the actual position. The criminal leader of UMNO/BN is facing trials for  a host of criminal offences committed while he was Prime Minister and the boss of UMNO. His former deputy, and unbelievably current head of UMNO, will also face criminal prosecution for his past actions. The whole question of whether, in the face of the facts, UMNO should still be a registered body is currently under consideration by the authorities responsible for that.

And, in the face of all that, the Prime Minister adopts what seems to be a defeatist attitude over his party’s prospects of further electoral success.The question is why? And the only apparent answer lies in the national evil of communalism. So long as voters cast their ballots solely on the basis of racial appartenance democracy cannot flourish and Malaysia cant develop into a first category nation; for which it possesses both the talent and the energy to do if outdated race is cast aside and all work together for the national good. The PH government  is a good example of what needs to be done and it is there solely because a majority of Malaysians recognised that communal jealousy and reliance on the accident of birth were no qualifications for national success and development.

Of course there will continue to be obscurantist thinking and propaganda trying to exploit the racial mix within the Malaysian population. Most of this comes from elderly and fatally prejudiced politicians who find appeals to race easier than work towards national development. They would be better employed in contemplated their fast approaching rendezvous with what they believe is the afterlife. None of us can know what the end of life brings whatever beliefs we profess but lives lived in corruption and criminality cannot reasonably expect a fresh existence in perpetual happiness.

So ket all Malaysians out aside prejudice based on race orregious belief and wrk to improve the country and mae its future burger. If they do that the fears expressed by the rime Minster will be groundless.
