Malaysian IGP Fuzi is reported as saying that the hunt for Jho Low is “still on”

Exactly what he meant by that is not clear. Has an Interpol Red notice been issued? In the past Malaysia was not slow to use this procedure. Has it now?

If the fugitive is in a country that is not a member of Interpol there are always diplomatic ways to seek his return to be tried. Does any sovereign nation where he may be hiding really want to be seen as a protector of mega criminals, even if ethnicity enters into it?

The US, where he is wanted for a series of crimes can easily put pressure on any nation that may be giving this mega crook refuge and should act in that sense. Apart from anything else Jho must realise that his best hope of not spending the rest of his life in a Malaysian prison, or in an American supermax, is to surrender and offer evidence against his criminal partners.

That he will be arrested and tried is inevitable and he must know it so he would be wise to be seeking the best deal he can get.

As to the PDRM failure to pursue this diligently can only add to the sorry reputation it earned under Najib as a partial, corrupt and inefficient organisation.
