More Malay Supremacism?

As might have been expected, and possibly was pre-arranged, PAS wasted no time in agreeing to work with the minority Malay dominated Sarawak party GPS. Birds of a feather or, in this case, of a race. It does not appear to concern PAS at all that GPS sit in the Federal Assembly on the government benches.

If PAS are foolish enough to think, or accept assurances that, Malay support is anything other than marginal in Sarawak they are deluding themselves, Something at which they have in the past proven themselves adept. That there is any Malay influence in Sarawak at all is due entirely to the bribery and other criminal activity that enabled BN and its Sarawak allies to remain in power there for decades. So little or no profit for PAS in trying to extend into that Borneo State. Unless, of course, there is a prospect of share in the loot!

The whole trend in Malaysian politics is away from narrow communal based support towards true national politics. This was demonstrated in GE14 and is a trend, established as it is among the youth, that can only strengthen in years to come. PAS cannot see this coming so continue to place their heads on the rails. The outcome is as inevitable as it ought to be predictable
