A Nasty Surprise.

For whom? Well, to begin with, the Yang di Pertuan Agong who will be annoyed to find Malaysia being described in a public document submitted to the US government as a Republic. Malaysia is many things but a Republic it is not. Or is this a precursory announcement by Najib that he intends to take over the position of Head of State?

This curious state of affairs arises from an US law that requires lobbyists in that country to register if they are working or going to work for any foreign power. In accordance with that law a company calling itself the 45Group, and also the Godfrey Group, recently registered as an agent for what they described in their registration form as the “Republic of Malaysia.

Is this just the standard ignorance expected from any associate of arch thief Najib or does it foreshadow a plan by him to turn Malaysia into a Republic with him as President for life? Doubtless the Agong would like to know the answer to that question and we may be permitted to hope that he will soon pose it to Najib. Perhaps sitting in an obscure seat at the recent Islamic powwow in Riyahd has given Najis treasonous ideas?

Since few, if any, US lobbyists work for free (and most charge very heavy fees for their services) Malaysian voters will wish to know to what head of expenditure in the Budget these costs will be charged and why no special provision for this spending was included in the recent Budget. Najib, who is notoriously coy about political spending, will have hidden this cost somewhere. Where?

It is also relevant to ask what work these lobbyists will be tasked to do for the “Republic” It seems doubtful whether, even if asked or tasked, they will wish to try to get the Department of Justice to withdraw their wholesale and fact packed expose of mega thief Najib and his assistants.

The “reason” part of the registration form submitted by Godfrey Group states that they will assist in public relations between the US and Malaysia. How can there be any “public relations” between a world leading democracy like the USA and a pariah state like Malaysia led by a mega criminal? Sounds like money for nothing. No surprise there as Najib will be paying their bills with stolen public money. They had better take a closer look at the US law on the subjects of receiving stolen property and abetting criminal activity.

A final point. These lobbyists list their Malaysian offices as situated in Johor Bharu. How will they connect effectively with criminal Putra Jaya? Daily first class flights at taxpayers’ expense?
