Mega thief Najib Razak has hastened to proclaim his “full confidence” in 1MDB boss Arul Kanda. In a similar instance that other dictator, Hitler, proclaimed his full confidence in General Rommel; before having him executed for “treason” It is a parallel that Kanda should bear in mind.

Alive he represents perhaps the most damning potential witness against arch thief Najib. The fact that he has been a willing accomplice will not save him if, and this seems more likely every day, Najib decides that Kanda has outlived his usefulness and had better be where he cannot talk.

A situation that the unfortunate Altantuya found herself in before being murdered and her body blown to fragments by explosives that only the Minister of Defence was able to release from military stores.

A situation that the late Kevin Morais found himself in when he was fingered as the drafter of an application for a warrant for Najib’s arrest for mega theft.

Coincidence? Or to be rated along with the theory that the Moon is composed of green cheese. The only people who will believe, or pretend to believe Najib on all this are those whom he has bought, at great expense to the taxpayer. And they don’t amount to a majority at GE 14!
